How Much is Eyelid Lift Surgery?

Your eyes are one of your most expressive features, but unfortunately, the soft tissue around them is often one of the first places to show signs of aging. If you’re frustrated with sagging or “hooding” around your eyes, it may be time for an eyelid lift.

What is An Eyelid Lift?

Blepharoplasty, commonly called an eyelid lift, is a procedure that reduces signs of aging around the eyes, such as wrinkles and sagging. Time and gravity eventually take their toll on the delicate skin around the eyes, causing them to droop. This leads to wrinkles, “hooding,” undereye bags or hollows, puffiness, and an overall tired expression.

Blepharoplasty can include an upper eyelid lift, lower eyelid lift, or both. One of Dr. Lanfranchi’s most popular procedures is the upper eyelid lift for its dramatic results with minimal downtime.

Benefits of a Blepharoplasty

There are many benefits of having a blepharoplasty. You can expect a brighter, more youthful appearance that takes years off your face. An eyelid lift may even improve your field of vision.

An eyelid lift can address several concerns, including:

  • Sagging and “hooding”
  • Puffiness and undereye bags
  • Eyelid wrinkles
  • Undereye hollows and appearance of dark circles

You’ll begin seeing improvement soon after your procedure as the swelling and bruising fade. The results of a blepharoplasty typically last ten years or longer.

How Much Does An Eyelid Lift Cost?

The cost of an eyelid lift will depend on several factors, including your geographic location, provider, and the type of procedure you have. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the average price of a blepharoplasty is $4,120.

However, this number does not include facility fees or the cost of anesthesia. During your consultation, Dr. Lanfranchi will help you determine a treatment plan and guide you on what to expect.

Blepharoplasty Procedure and Recovery

The procedure and recovery time for blepharoplasty will depend on whether you have an upper or lower eyelid lift or both. Dr. Lanfranchi performs blepharoplasty under local anesthesia, and you’ll be able to return home shortly after the procedure. He will make incisions in the creases above the eye or just under the eyelashes, and then he will remove or reposition excess tissue and tighten the skin.

Eyelid lifts are a fast and effective way to turn back the clock with only a little downtime. Most patients can return to work within three or four days. Some swelling and tenderness are normal during this time, and Dr. Lanfranchi will give you instructions on care after the procedure.

Am I a Good Candidate for An Eyelid Lift?

An eyelid lift is an effective treatment if you’re a healthy adult and want to rejuvenate your appearance by reversing signs of aging around your eyes. Dr. Lanfranchi can help you decide on the best treatment plan for your goals.

I am just over 5 weeks out from an upper and lower eyelift, and I’m unbelievably thrilled with the results. I’ve been wanting this procedure for a few years, but was extremely nervous about any sort of facial surgery. Dr Lanfranchi and his team made me feel so comfortable every step of the way, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. I had a girls weekend scheduled for right after the four week recovery mark, and none of my friends could even tell, they just kept saying that I looked rested and refreshed. The results are so natural and continue to improve by the day. I highly recommend Dr Lanfranchi to anyone interested in facial rejuvenation.
