Droopy eyelids can make you look tired, sad, and old. They can even interfere with your vision. Fortunately, The Lanfranchi Center can help! TLC offers blepharoplasty procedures that can restore youth and beauty to your eyes. Read on to find out the different types of eyelid-revitalizing procedures that Dr. Lanfranchi performs to treat your eyelid concerns.
How to Fix Your Droopy Eyelids With Eye a Blepharoplasty
One of the best ways to correct droopy eyelids and improve the appearance of your eyes is getting a blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid lift. Blepharoplasty is a cosmetic procedure that removes fat and tissue and repositions your upper or lower lids to give you a more refreshed, well-rested appearance. It can also improve vision in people who have difficulty seeing because of drooping eyelids. The Lanfranchi Center offers two eyelid rejuvenation procedures: upper and lower eyelid lifts.
TLC Upper Blepharoplasty
Upper eyelid lift procedures remove excess skin and fat from the upper eyelids to create a more youthful appearance. Before your procedure, the TLC surgical team will give you a local anesthetic to reduce pain and discomfort. During an upper eyelid procedure at TLC, Dr. Lanfranchi will make incisions in the natural creases of your upper eyelids to minimize visible scarring. Next, he will carefully cut off skin and sometimes muscle and fat from your eyelids. Finally, he will close your eyelid incisions with sutures.
TLC Lower Blepharoplasty
Lower eyelid lift procedures remove excess skin and fat from the lower eyelids to create a happier, younger look. At TLC, Dr. Lanfranchi will make your eyelids look a decade younger in about an hour. Dr. Lanfranchi will meticulously make incisions inside your lower eyelids or just below your lash lines. Next, he will remove or reposition excess fat and remove skin and muscle (if necessary) to reduce your dark, baggy under-eye circles. Finally, he will close your incisions with small sutures.
Is There Any Downtime With Eyelid Lifts?
Recovery from an eyelid lift usually takes about 10-14 days as the bruising and swelling subside. During this time, you should avoid sun exposure to protect your sensitive eyelid skin. It is also important to avoid rubbing or touching the incisions as they heal. Your scars from the eyelid lift procedure will gradually fade over the months. After recovery, most people are very pleased with the results of their blepharoplasty.
Am I a Good Candidate for TLC Eyelid Lifts?
If you have heavy, droopy eyelids or dark circles under your eyes, the blepharoplasty treatments offered at The Lanfranchi Center may be great solutions to your age-related eyelid problems. The best candidates for eyelid lifts are healthy non-smokers with no serious eye issues or healing problems.
The best way to discover if blepharoplasty is right for you is to schedule an in-person appointment with Dr. Lanfranchi, who is board-certified with specialty certification in Facial Plastic Surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
Stellar Service from Start to Finish
Two months ago I had a lower lifestyle facial lift. I was apprehensive, but it was well worth the effort and expense. Dr. Lanfranchi and his entire staff were kind, caring and very professional, from the first meeting to the follow up appointments.
The procedure is done under a local, not general anesthetic, and it was easy. I healed quickly and am very satisfied with the results.
His fee was very reasonable. Any further facial work I want done, I will be sure to come back here.
