The TLC Premier Lift™
Even our most extensive procedure, the TLC Premier Lift™ is safely completed under local anesthesia and oral sedation, and our patients thank us for it. This custom facelift combines our signature TLC Lift™ (lower face and neck lift) with 3-6 other procedures for a complete transformation in a single day. Surprisingly, the additional procedures don’t prolong recovery times, which average between 7-14 days. Extensive before and aftercare instructions are provided, and Team TLC will hold your hand through the entire journey, from consultation through recovery.
Concerns with General Anesthesia
General anesthesia carries risk factors some patients cannot tolerate, particularly those with underlying health concerns. This prohibits them from undergoing procedures at most clinics. At The Lanfranchi Center, our use of local anesthesia with oral sedation makes our treatments safer for these patients, as determined by a comprehensive consultation. A deep sleep that includes paralysis of the muscles is the marker of general anesthesia. Medical professionals agree this should be avoided wherever possible because of the risks, which include cardiovascular collapse, respiratory depression, potential brain and teeth injuries, and respiratory failure. Some complications are even fatal.
Patients are disoriented, nauseated, dizzy, and have difficulty breathing upon waking, which increases distress. Include pain from the procedure, and the recovery process begins on a poor note indeed. The body easily needs a few days to fully metabolize general anesthesia.
