What Does Laser Skin Resurfacing Do?

Do you feel yourself getting down because your skin is looking tired? Is your confidence getting lower with every day that passes by? This is something that a lot of people can relate to. While we cannot stop time from ticking forward, we can give our face the boost that it needs so that we can shed years off our appearance. The answer is Fractional CO2 laser skin resurfacing. So, let’s take a look at what this treatment involves.

What is Fractional CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing?

This laser skin resurfacing treatment that we provide here at The Lanfranchi Center is one of the most advanced facial rejuvenation treatments available today. It is known for being effective when it comes to treating deep skin problems and superficial issues. From wrinkles to acne scarring, laser skin resurfacing can give you the youthful and radiant results you are hoping for.

How Does the Fractional CO2 Laser Work?

There are a number of different types of lasers that can be used when it comes to resurfacing the skin. However, the Fractional CO2 laser is undoubtedly the best. This is a type of semi-ablative laser. What does this mean? This is a wounding laser that will get rid of the skin’s thin outer layer, known as the epidermis, while also heating the dermis, which is the skin beneath it.

The purpose of this is to stimulate collagen fiber growth. When the epidermis heals and starts to regrow, the treated area will appear tighter and smoother.
