How Is the Lower Facelift Performed?
The SMAS (superficial muscular aponeurotic system) layer of the face is one of the most important structural supports in the face, and over time, gravity brings it lower, resulting in deepening nasolabial folds and marionette lines around the mouth, jowls, and the dreaded “turkey/chicken neck.” The TLC LiftTM corrects all that by repositioning the SMAS layer and the platysma muscle (the broad muscles from the upper chest and shoulder to the top of the neck) and shifting the placement of the skin for a dramatically improved jawline, reduction of under-chin fullness and wrinkles, and tighter skin of the neck. Because the TLC Lift™ is fully customizable with other procedures, sometimes a chin augmentation or eyelid procedures or brow lift can address the whole face for a truly customized rejuvenation.
With more than 6,000 TLC Lifts™ performed, and more than 10,000 patients cared for since 2006, we’ve perfected the artistry and technique behind the lower facelift for truly optimal, natural results that help you love your selfie again.
Am I a Good Candidate?
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to lower facelifts, so we assess your unique facial structure and anatomy to determine the best procedure or combination of procedures to achieve your desired goals. Because we do use local anesthetic with oral sedation rather than general anesthesia, many people with medical conditions qualify for procedures at The Lanfranchi Center who otherwise wouldn’t.
