Procedures Performed Under Local Anesthesia
We have always been known for keeping our patient’s entire experience “safe and simple.” All procedures are performed in our Center utilizing local anesthesia and mild oral sedation (i.e. valium or xanax). We never use heavy, and potentially dangerous, sedation that would require the need for an Anesthesiologist, IV, respirator, or cardiac monitoring. This fact also allows for faster recovery and a significant decrease in overall potential complications.
At The Lanfranchi Center, we utilize local anesthesia with oral sedation and we swear it’s easier than going to the dentist! Prior to your procedure, you will be given an oral sedative to help you relax and take away any anxiety. Providing effective local anesthesia is both a learned skill and an art. For his entire career, Dr. Lanfranchi has exclusively used this safe method to perform his over 10,000 procedures and he has many different techniques to make this portion of the procedure as comfortable as possible.
