Your eyes are not exempt from the skin laxity that comes with aging. Hooded and undereye bags contribute to a tired, overwhelmed, or even haggard appearance even when you feel well-rested. One of the fastest ways to take years off your appearance is with an eyelid lift, or blepharoplasty, at The Lanfranchi Center.
How Is the Eyelid Lift Performed?
The eyelid lift is one of the most popular procedures performed at The Lanfranchi Center and is one of Dr. Paul Lanfranchi’s favorite treatments because it’s one of the easiest ways of turning back the clock.
The upper eyelid lift is performed with a hair-line incision in the natural crease of both upper eyelids. Excess skin is removed with precision, and any puffy fat pads are removed for optimal eye shape. Without this excess skin and fat, makeup is easier to apply and longer-lasting, and you appear more alert and ready to take on the world. Some patients even report feeling less tired after a long day without the extra weight pressing down on their eyelids.
For patients concerned about puffy, protruding undereye bags, the lower eyelid lift is available. This delicate procedure also begins with tiny incisions in your natural eye creases, and Dr. Lanfranchi’s painstaking attention to detail allows the flawless removal of excess skin, removal of shifted fat pads, and tightening of the underlying muscles between your eye and cheek.
Both procedures take less than an hour each and result in alert, naturally beautiful, younger-looking eyes that more accurately reflect the real you.
Am I a Good Candidate?
Patients interested in a quick procedure that takes years off your age by opening your eyes for a more expressive, bright-eyed appearance may be good candidates. For some patients concerned about skin wrinkling around the eyes, the fractional CO2 laser treatment may be more effective. Schedule your consultation to discuss your options with Dr. Lanfranchi.
Will Recovery Affect My Vision?
Blepharoplasty is one of the easiest procedures to recover from, with recovery as quick as 2-4 days in some cases, or more commonly after a week, depending on the line of work you’re in. Following the day of your procedure, your eyelids may feel tight and sore. You may also experience watery, dry, sticky, or itchy eyes with some blurred vision for a few days. Cold compresses can reduce bruising and swelling, and the cold may naturally numb any residual discomfort. Light movement, such as walking from room to room, may also help speed healing.
Our extensive aftercare instructions will help you address any discomforts to minimize them. No patient of The Lanfranchi Center is left in the dark about the eyelid lift process, and we will be there for you from consultation to full recovery.
Total healing may take between 2-3 weeks, resulting in an awake, bright-eyed look. Say goodbye to tired eyes with the specialized expertise and genuine artistry of Dr. Paul Lanfranchi and Team TLC. With a blepharoplasty procedure, your eyes regain their intended shape without sagging, loose, or puffy skin, and your natural, youthful beauty shines through.
I had a lower face lift, neck lift, chin augmentation, upper eyelid lift and laser treatment done to lower eyelid area. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism of Dr. Lanfranchi and the entire staff at TLC. The consult made me feel very comfortable with the surgery plan and approach. I had been to other consults with other plastic surgeons prior to this one and I felt very comfortable with this one. I also have had many other plastic surgery procedures in the past related to breast cancer reconstruction so I am familiar with how procedures and post op care are conducted and TLC met and exceeded all of my expectations. I am very happy with the outcome and would recommend TLC to anyone who would like a refreshed look. I am 62 and my friends have commented that I look 10 years younger.
