This young and active woman presented to our Center with the desire to create more balance in her profile. She was happy with the strength of her nose and lips but wished for her chin to be slightly larger to match in profile. We decided to perform a chin augmentation with an extended anatomic silicone implant. The procedure was performed under local anesthesia in our Center with the administration of oral valium to relieve anxiety. Procedure time was under one hour. She required prescription pain pills for 1 1/2 days and then switched to the use of Tylenol. Sutures were removed one full week after the procedure, and she was able to return to the gym at that time.
