One of the most difficult signs of aging to fight is the “turkey or chicken” neck. It’s one of the first and most obvious body parts that gives away our age. If you’ve become dissatisfied with your neck’s skin elasticity, the definition of your jaw, or the relaxing of muscles in your neck, The Lanfranchi Center, Las Vegas Valley’s premier facial rejuvenation clinic, can help.
The TLC Lift™
The TLC Lift™ includes a neck and lower facelift, and has become The Lanfranchi Center’s most popular and widely known procedure. It addresses the aging of the lower face and neck to combat the signs of age that contribute to turkey/chicken neck. The TLC Lift™ includes the SMAS (superficial muscular aponeurotic system) layer, a series of deep tissues which make up the most important structures of the face.
The TLC Lift™ also addresses weakening of the platysma muscles, the bands of muscle rising from the pectorals up the sides of the neck to the jawline. When these muscles weaken, your neck can lose tension and support, causing your skin to go lax and sag. By treating these two areas during the TLC Lift™, Dr. Paul Lanfranchi rebuilds the structures that define a youthful jawline and profile. Some patients opt for additional improvement with a chin augmentation to provide balance and symmetry to the lower face.
Am I a Good Candidate?
Almost anyone unhappy with their neck and jawline is a good candidate for a TLC Lift™. Because every procedure is performed with local anesthesia and oral sedatives instead of general anesthesia, even patients with other medical concerns who would not otherwise be facelift candidates may tolerate this procedure well. What’s the Procedure and Recovery Like?
On your rejuvenation day, your treatment will be discussed in detail to ensure your questions are all answered, and you’ll be given oral sedatives to help with any nervousness. When you’re relaxed, your procedure takes place in The Lanfranchi Center’s state-of-the-art procedure room, and the local anesthesia is administered. Dr. Lanfranchi takes care to camouflage your incisions in the natural creases around your ears and in your hairline, so scarring is only visible if you’re looking for it. Your procedure is completed with Dr. Lanfranchi’s meticulous attention to detail and artistry, and you’ll be ready to go home within a few hours.
Because your body isn’t required to metabolize general anesthesia, your recovery time is easier, and you’ll be on your feet faster, usually within 7 days, though some patients report returning to most normal activities as fast as 3-4 days. You’ll experience some bruising and swelling, and your post-op care is closely monitored by Team TLC.
What Does a Neck Lift Cost?
As with any medical procedure, there’s a balance to be had between a quality procedure and the best value for the money. The Lanfranchi Center’s advanced facilities and use of local anesthesia with sedatives reduce the fees you would pay for an anesthesiologist and operating room at a hospital or surgical center.
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons estimates the average cost of an isolated neck lift (which does not include the jawline) in the US at $5,242, which varies by location and the expertise of your physician. We believe you shouldn’t have to choose between an investment in yourself and your pocketbook, so we offer an array of financing options so you can focus on your healing without worry.
