So, What Exactly Is It?

Micro-needling with the MesoPen™ is a delicate, comfortable, and gentle process in which 12 tiny micro-needles are used to create continuous controlled micro-channels across the surface of the facial skin. The depth of the channels can be adjusted based on your individual goals of treatment (ie: acne scar treatment would require deeper channel creation). The micro-channels open up thousands of tiny pathways so that your body’s own PRP is able to more effectively travel to deeper layers of the skin. This enhances its healing and rejuvenating properties.

PRP therapy uses your own body’s plasma as a healing serum after a micro-needling procedure takes place. The micro-channels created by the micro-needles provide tiny, direct pathways to deeper layers of skin, allowing your body’s natural growth factors to be as effective as possible. Patients treated with PRP typically experience a shorter recovery time and heal faster due to the unique healing properties of their own PRP.

Patients typically notice a subtle, immediate difference, and results usually take 2-4 weeks to become fully noticeable. A series of 3 treatments is often recommended, depending on your unique needs. These treatments are often 4-6 weeks apart.
