About Blepharoplasty

The term blepharoplasty refers to both upper and lower eyelids. Depending on your primary concerns, you may choose to have either an upper or lower eyelid lift or you may decide to have both procedures carried out.

With super-fast procedure and recovery times, a lower eyelid lift can usually be carried out in about an hour. What’s more, most patients are able to return to work in just 3-5 days.

A lower eyelid lift typically focuses on three distinct issues:

By assessing these areas, Dr. Lanfranchi will customize a lower eyelid lift to your needs and with your personal goals in mind. For example, excessive wrinkles may be treated with a fractional CO2 laser, while dermal fillers or fat transfers can be used to increase volume where fat deposits are lacking or to even out puffiness. In addition to this, underlying muscles can be tightened, and excess skin removed to rejuvenate the area.

With a special certification in Facial Plastic Surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Dr. Lanfranchi has extensive experience in blepharoplasty. Committed to providing safe, bespoke treatments for all his patients, Dr. Lanfranchi will discuss the range of possible treatments and outcomes with you prior to scheduling your procedure.

Benefits of a Lower Eyelid Lift

  • Short recovery period
  • Reduces signs of aging
  • Can minimize the feeling of tired eyes or eye strain
  • Boosts self-confidence
  • Eliminates wrinkles and fine line
  • Easier make-up application
