What is Blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty is the medical term for an upper eyelid lift, which will repair droopy eyelids. This treatment can involve getting rid of any excess fat, muscle, and skin, resulting in a bright, radiant, and youthful appearance.

As we get older, our eyelids begin to stretch, which causes the muscles around them to become weaker. As a consequence of this, excess fat can start to accumulate below or above the eyelids, causing bags under your eyes, droopy upper lids, and sagging eyebrows.

This can cause people to look older than they are. Peripheral vision, which is your side vision, can also be reduced because of this, particularly the outer and upper parts of your field of vision.

By having blepharoplasty, you can eliminate or reduce these vision issues altogether, as well as making your eyes appear a lot more alert and youthful too.

What Can an Upper Eyelid Lift Treat?

An upper eyelid lift is a great treatment for removing the excess thin skin that can be found over both of your upper eyelids. This is known as hooding.

The thin and sagging skin on this part of your face is tissue, and it will get worse with age, covering the top of your eyelids. This can cause you to look depressed and tired in appearance, yet an upper eyelid lift can reverse this.

A lot of women feel incredibly frustrated by this excess skin, as it can alter their look and impact their confidence. Not only this, but some of our patients have had problems with their vision as well.

Once you have an upper eyelid lift, you will have a more bright-eyed and awake appearance! The difference can be astounding.

Am I a Candidate for an Upper Eyelid Lift?

If you’re wondering whether or not you are a candidate for this treatment, it is suitable for anyone who wants to open up their eyes and have a more youthful and expressive appearance.

You will need to be in good physical and mental health to have this procedure. It is also important that you have realistic expectations. This is something that you can discuss during your consultation to ensure that an upper eyelid lift is right for you.

Stellar Service from Start to Finish

Two months ago I had a lower lifestyle facial lift. I was apprehensive, but it was well worth the effort and expense. Dr. Lanfranchi and his entire staff were kind, caring and very professional, from the first meeting to the follow up appointments.

The procedure is done under a local, not general anesthetic, and it was easy. I healed quickly and am very satisfied with the results.
His fee was very reasonable. Any further facial work I want done, I will be sure to come back here.
