Revision Facelift: Are You a Candidate?
A revision facelift procedure is carried out under local anesthesia as an outpatient treatment. Incisions are typically made at the same site as the original surgery, which should lower the prospect of any additional scarring. Generally speaking, at least 6 months must have passed from the original surgery.
Throughout this procedure, Dr. Lanfranchi will correct both subtle and obvious inconsistencies to remove scar tissue as required. This is a treatment that can be done alongside other surgeries or as a standalone procedure.
Am I a Candidate for a Revision Facelift?
No matter your reason for thinking about a secondary procedure, a revision facelift can be beneficial. You may be bothered by asymmetry, scarring, or other problems from previous surgery. Or, it could be that natural aging has taken its toll and there are some issues you are not happy with.
During your consultation, Dr. Lanfranchi will speak with you regarding your concerns, as well as your goals and expectations from the treatment. It is important that you have realistic expectations from your treatment, and this is why the consultation phase plays such a critical role.
It is also important that you are in good health generally, both physically and mentally.
