What is a Neck Lift?
A neck lift is a cosmetic procedure that addresses the signs of aging that occur in the neck area. As we age, our skin loses elasticity, and the muscles in our neck can weaken and sag, resulting in a “turkey neck” appearance. A neck lift can help tighten and smooth out the skin and muscles in the neck, resulting in a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.

How is a Neck Lift Done?
Dr. Lanfranchi’s Neck Lift offers comprehensive and long-lasting results by addressing the SMAS and platysma muscles, not just skin and fat. This innovative anti-aging treatment typically takes just two hours or less and is performed under local anesthesia at The Lanfranchi Center.
During the procedure, Dr. Lanfranchi will make small incisions under the chin and/or behind the ears to access the underlying muscles and tissues. He will then tighten the muscles and remove any excess skin before closing the incisions with sutures or staples.
In most cases, liposuction may also be used to remove excess fat from the neck area, reducing a double chin. Some patients may also have their neck lift combined with a full facelift or chin augmentation. This can help to further enhance the rejuvenating results of the neck lift.
What to Expect After a Neck lift
After a neck lift, you can expect some bruising and swelling in the treated area. We’ll give you thorough aftercare information and instructions for managing any discomfort.
Most Neck Lift patients need 7-10 days of downtime. Full recovery from your neck lift may take a few months.

While your results may be obscured initially by swelling and bruising, you’ll soon enjoy dramatic but natural-looking improvements in your neck and lower face.
